Ambassador and CHCP Join Impressive Line-up of Presenters at APSCU Annual Convention, Leading Data Analytics Session

Educators Learn How to Use Student Engagement Metrics to Predict Success & Improve Retention

Ambassador Education Solutions and the College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) will take the stage at this year’s APSCU Annual Convention, leading the breakout session “What’s Up With Your Data? Using Student Engagement Metrics to Predict Success and Improve Retention.” Education thought leaders will gather in Orlando next week for the event, which includes expert speakers in business, regulation, program development, student engagement, and career services and placement.

“This year’s event focuses on Aligning for the Future, presenting attendees with ideas and strategies to ensure students are prepared for what’s to come academically and professionally,” said Bruce Schneider, Director of Business Engineering at Ambassador and session leader. “The more institutions know about their students, the better equipped they are to connect them with their future. In addition to helping institutions better understand student progress, data analytics can also help them anticipate how and where students might need additional support to succeed. We look forward to providing attendees with recommendations to build and advance data application practices that drive success rates.”

Dr. S. David Vaillancourt, Chief Academic Officer at The College of Health Care Professions, is teaming up with Schneider for this informative session. Attendees will get an inside look at CHCP’s development of a predictive model of common student demographics and behaviors that predict success. Presenters will explore the process of gathering relevant eBook usage data to measure and predict outcomes based on engagement, as well as methods for identifying student demographics and connecting that data with student behavior to create and maintain a predictive model that tracks and positively impacts student success and retention.

The APSCU Annual Convention runs June 5th through June 8th. In addition to its presentation on Tuesday, June 7th at 11:30 a.m., Ambassador is exhibiting in booth #607, hosting discussions and demonstrations to help educators create innovative course materials programs and apply data analytics to deliver highly engaging student learning experiences.
